I always knew I wanted to work in travel from a very young age, from pretending to sell holidays to my parents to circling my favorite holidays in the TUI Brochure With that being as soon as I left college, I applied for TUI straight away and started my travel career as a TUI travel advisor.
The world is your oyster .. I put my travel advisor uniform to the side temporally and became Cabin Crew. Being Cabin Crew gave me a bigger insight to what customers are expecting from their well deserved holidays.
Spread your wings .. After working in a smaller retail store, I took the plunge and transferred to a retail superstore. With TUI always having doors open for employees to progress and grow, moving to a superstore was super easy.
LONG HAUL SPECIALIST TRAVEL ADVISOR
Working in retail for TUI you get many customers come through the door wanting different types of holidays. I have taken a loving to our multi - center holidays and our long haul destinations.
As a travel advisor for TUI , You will have access to many systems. Due to high demand on our amazing holidays sometimes you may not be able to book a certain hotel , However with TUI having partnerships with many tour operators you will never find yourself short in options to recommend to customers.
Never feel pressure .. When you first start the business you might feel nervous as you may never of travelled before or been on a TUI Holiday. With this being, before you start selling our amazing holidays your store manager will ensure you are ready to serve by having 1 to 1 sessions with you .
Your welcome .. TUI ensure all retail staff have the best product knowledge in the industry , Once you start the business TUI will enroll you onto the new starter destinations learning portal, giving you the chance to learn about all of our destinations. It does not stop there, Throughout the year TUI will give retail employees the opportunity to take part in a overseas educational visit. Giving you the chance to really get to know our product better and of course stay in some amazing hotels! I was very lucky and got to visit Cyprus for 5 nights and visit a handful of hotels. This gives you the chance to get a better understanding of the hotels we sell and of course to chill by the pool!
NO DAY IS THE SAME
No day is the same here at TUI.
I have been really lucky to collaborate with TUI CAN ( Caribbean & African Network ) You may have recently seen in the news that TUI Airways had 2 flights depart , One from London Gatwick to Montego Bay Jamaica and the other from Manchester to Boa Vista Cape Verde . This was to celebrate Black history at TUI . As a black TUI Employee it felt great to take part in such a history making trip! This has motivated me to inspire more potential black candidates to join TUI. I love how diverse TUI is! From including pronoun badges as part of the uniform guidelines to hosting Cultural events through out the company.
As mentioned before no day is the same as a travel advisor at TUI, Some days you might have a couple wanting to book their dream wedding or a group of friends wanting to book their first ever holiday. Being able to bring the holiday life and see the excitement on the the customers face motivates me to carry on and get the job done.
As a travel advisor you are given great perks! from money off holidays to late seats on our flights! TUI has given me the opportunity to travel and see the world! Even though I love my holidays, Every TUI holiday I am lucky to go on is always a learning curve for me. I always look forward coming back to work and telling my team about the holiday and what customer type I would recommend it to .

Being a travel advisor comes with many insider roles such as social media! Every retail store has their own facebook page, This will given you the chance to show off your latest offers, store events and colleague achievements such as long service or even a birthday post!
Since I started the company, I really wanted to showcase TUI retail on my own social media platforms such as Tic Tok and Instagram. As mentioned before I was lucky to Jetset off to Cyprus on a retail educational trip! I showcased this on my social media showing my followers the different hotels I visited. I also was able to showcase TUI AIRWAYS and the aircraft I flew on which got a whopping 50 thousand views ! Since then I have become a TUI brand ambassador which has definitely been the highlight of my career. Being a TUI Brand ambassador gives me the chance to have my content featured on TUI's social media platforms . For example when I went to Jamaica with TUI CAN, Some of my content was featured on TUI's Instagram, This was such a proud moment for me.
