That's would be a pity as I don't speak Dutch at all. As we work in international teams, language in meetings is mostly English, so no worries we welcome people across countries and languages.

Hello,
I think you’d do just fine speaking english on any of our development teams. TUI as a whole is currently changing its structures to make teams more diverse and include people from different countries so we can build solutions that fit everyone. It's also encouraged to learn english for colleagues who don't feel confident in their language skills yet. I speak english for most of my workday as it’s the only common language we have in my current team. If you feel unsure you can always apply to a position and discuss the issue with the team in question directly or ask the assigned HR contact about it. They will be able to give more insight on a specific position.

Hi Anon user, TUI is an international company and since a short while the teams are spread over multiple countries. We have developers in multiple EU countries and even some in not EU countries. I'm from Belgium, but the rest of the team is spread over the world. So English is the language that is mostly spoken. In case we are in the office the language spoken is Dutch. Because we are required to go to the offices twice a week, the dutch language is needed to communicate with the other colleagues. In some vacancies it's mentioned that you could also apply in English or German. In case Dutch is required, it's because the team will be mostly exists of Dutch speaking developers. For me when I was part of a Dutch team, it was easy to communicate in my own language. If the vacancy doesn't require you to speak dutch, it will depend on what department you will be part of. If it's in UK, sometimes you will have to go to Luton. If it's Germany, it could be Berlin or Hannover. For me I tried multiple vacancies for multiple countries, and used the "flexible" filter. This gave me an opportunity to apply for a role that wasn't specific on country or language. The important part here was my motivation, my English and if I was flexible to go to an office once in a while in another country. But because I was a Belgium developer, they still want to feel connected to me and this is why I still have to go to the Belgium offices.

Hello,
Firstly, thank you for considering applying for TUI.

You are more than welcome to make a progress with your application since you already know English.

We are emerging to be an international organisation which would mean English is our common language for all forms of communication. At the same time, we are an inclusive employer and strive to succeed in a diversified multi-cultural team which makes work even more fun.

All the best.
