Hi I’m 16 I applied as a retail assistant Manger would I still get considered for this role at 16 ?

  • Until you turn 18, you must still be in some form of education or training, such as college, an apprenticeship, or part-time study while working.
• Experience and responsibility:
• • Assistant Manager roles usually involve supervising staff, handling cash, and closing the store — tasks that often require being 18 or older due to both company policy and insurance or legal reasons.

However, it’s still worth applying or speaking directly to the hiring manager. They might:

• Discuss starting as a travel advisor apprentice or a (non-manager) role instead,
• Or consider you for part-time hours while you continue your education or training.
