Additional information

Hi Chrys, Can you give me career advice based on my personal background? I am originally from Mongolia and recently relocated to England after living in Shanghai for while. When i was living in Shanghai, i started small scale tour business from scratch selling my home country Mongolia to expats living in China and later on (during pandemic) i worked with Chinese tour operators selling their products to the expats who were travelling domestically. As i moved to England now i am open to any position and even can consider to take study program about travel and tourism if necessary. For TUI entry level candidate, what would you recommend? and what soft skills TUI is looking from candidates? Do you think i can be considered TUI training programs? I don't have any study background in UK (no GCSE math or English etc), i studied in Moscow so i speak some Russian as well. I am very open-minded and adaptable as i was educated and lived abroad. Thank you. Kind Regards, Tuya Johnson

Hi Tuya,

Thanks for your question! In terms of working for us, you do not need to hold any specific qualifications. We do require you to speak a proficient level of English and be minimum 18 years of age. We're always on the lookout for potential candidates who can demonstrate a good level of passion for travel, and a good understanding of how to provide excellent front-line customer service in order to provide our guests with unforgettable holiday experiences.

As well as this, the soft skills we look for in our candidates is the ability to be adaptable, flexible, proactive and demonstrate a good work-ethic. These are essential skills we use on a day-to-day basis in our overseas roles.

We are now recruiting for a number of roles beginning in Summer 2023, and they can be found on our careers page here: https://careers.tuigroup.com/holiday-destination-jobs
