data analyst

I made a u-turn in my career from support&sales to data analysis. In the interview for my first technical role I was emphasising strongly on deep business understanding (it was an analyst role for support team) and I remember I could name 10 metrics for a call centre non-stop as I knew them by heart as an agent myself XD That was my USP and it worked. having prior experience in business is always valuable!

That's a very good tip, using knowledge from a business perspective makes absolute sense, thank you, Anastasia.

This is such an interesting questions. We in TUI encourage our people to join IT and in some areas like Quality Assurance have prepare a learning path for the ones who are willing to take this jump!.

I agree with Ana. I also joined IT with no prior experience in the field, but lots of of other experience from managing operational projects. Just give it a go!

Be curious. I also don't have a tech background. I started watching videos on youtube, LinkedIn learning courses, udemy courses to introduce me to tech. And now I'm at TUI, I recently did a beginners course on AWS, as well as other courses on Agile, kanban, AI.....
