In my world, it's pretty simple. What a tour operator wants to achieve is to sell trips with a quality that results in satisfied and returning customers. Regardless of what role you have within the organization, this must be top of mind in all the work that is done. Within E-commerce, we do this by working data-driven, listening to the customer and always working proactively to deliver what the customer requests. A key to succeeding in this is to always try to see the situation from the customer's point of view.

What do you like about your job and the company?
There are two things that motivate me very much; strong sales and satisfied customers. In my daily work, both of these factors drive me a lot because our main task in E-commerce is to create a web shop that delivers an excellent customer experience while following the sales plan and supporting the organization to sell as many trips as possible.

I'm the sort of person that says "go for it" and "what's the worst that can happen?" I struggled for years not being able to get my foot in the (creative) door. I wound up managing a kitchen for a large pub chain - which is an absolutely fine career, but it simply wasn't for me. I started to apply to every role and opportunity that could offer me some experience to add to my CV - this included assisting photographers hang their work for upcoming exhibitions and photographing charity events for PR assets - all in my spare time. All of this rather random experience allowed me to start understanding which avenues I'd like to explore for my career. That career ended up beginning at TUI and i've never looked back.

The most important thing I have learnt working at TUI is the importance of being genuine and bringing your personality to work - it makes you feel a lot better and as everyone is treated as an individual and allows teammates to understand what works best for you. TUI as a company is incredibly supportive of this as well, and it helps to make you feel like you belong in the team and makes it more than just work.
