I have found it very easy to maintain a good work-life balance in my role. TUI care about the welfare of their employees and therefore make it very easy for them to maintain that healthy lifestyle. Even though I work full time, I feel that I still have a good balance between in work and outside of work. TUI have many ways they ensure we have this by offering 'live happy' days. These are paid days off that the company grant from time to time. They also usually have a Christmas shopping day which allows you to make the most off that day off before the Christmas period begins. I think it is very important that you enjoy your work life and the managers here at TUI make it very easy for you to talk to them if needed and are very approachable. Even though January is our busiest time of year, which can be quite challenging and stressful, your team are there to support each other throughout. We also ensure we are up to date with training and allow ourselves time to make sure this is completed. Workload is also shared fairly to ensure customers are helped proactively. The store closes for half an hour every Friday morning so we can have team catch ups which reduces stress and increases productivity. Multitasking is also key to working in retail, this sometimes can be quite challenging but is the most productive way of managing the workload.
