From Banking to Travel with some Education industry in between
I grew up in a small city in the Northern part of Sweden where I started my work life and career at the age of 20. I had the privilege to travel to Stockholm in my work and I knew early on that I wanted to move there one day. I was longing for the tempo and the people. The move put me on the path of Direct Marketing and ultimately CRM.
My first 16 years in Stockholm was with a company within the Learning industry (B2B) and during my years there, the company went through the era of rapid growth as well as the financial crises and downsizing. I had one of my greatest learning there, how I react to change, how to maneuver in an environment of constant change and also how it affects people around me and how different we react to change. It has been very useful experience throughout my career but also in my personal life.
My next important career step was when I started at SAS and after two years joined TUI. A completely different industry and with focus on B2C. It was a big change and took a lot of time to adjust but I am so glad I took that step. I am learning new things every day, meeting new people and change is a very familiar friend today.
I work as a Nordic CRM Lead
My role and our goal as a Nordic CRM Team is to provide the right communication to our customers and leads/prospects throughout the customer journey.
"The right offer, at the right time to the right person in the right channel". At TUI we work with communication and relations towards our customers in different channels and throughout the entire customer journey. We start by being the creators of the perfect "shopping window" for our customers and prospects so they feel that they want to enter our website and buy their holiday with us. When they have done that we will provide them with the right information about their upcoming holiday, x-sell extras for an even better holiday experience at their destination of choice. When returning back from their holiday we want to give them the chance to relive and book a new holiday with us. We work with a data driven approach and work close with the Campaign and Customer analytics.
My role is to make sure that my team has the best conditions to do the best they can to provide the right communicaiton to our customers. I work close with my team and our stakeholders both internally within Nordics but also within TUI Group.
People, it is all about the people!
In my position I have a lot of collaboration with colleagues from different departments both within the Nordics as well as the European markets. When I write "People" I also mean the customers and prospects that we communicate with. So my role is all about communication with people, in different ways, through different channels and with different content. The important part is to get everyone moving towards the same goal and to have the customers in focus AND in the same time have fun and work with a smile - I love that!
Be brave, believe in yourself, share experiences and stay curious
To be brave means that you dare to step "outside of the box". Be curious, ask questions and believe in your ability to influence and contribute. With every 100 bad ideas there is always this great one that might change the perspective for the business, the customer or yourself. The way we evolve as humans and as companies is to ask questions and SHARE ideas and leanings. That is the way we evolve and develop.
Building team spirit in times of a world wide Pandemic
There are results that I could point out or KPI's we have overachieved but the most important thing is - for me, and always will be - our staff, our team. It was a new situation to handle the team in a time of crises and when we where not able to meet in person for a very, very long time.
