In my team, we have a lovely 50-50 balance, which was a great insight when I was joining. I am always supported and proud to say I have not experienced different treatment at work because of my gender. Skills-based self-evaluation is my mantra:)

Hi Samuel,
Of course this can be a challenge. I think most women in this industry have at some point had the experience of not being taken seriously or similar. However I personally did not have this experience in TUI. This might have something to do with our company culture where asking questions is very encouraged and not looked down upon. I also feel like if this happens to me or a colleague now I would have no hesitation to call out this behaviour or adress it with someone - because at tui we respect each other and in a productive working environment there is no room for stuff like this :)

So far it has been positive. I have worked in male dominated industries for over 16 years now. There are challenges at times, but with a bit of patience can be overcome. I think it´s key not to feel overwhelmed when you join meetings with about 20 male colleagues as I did in the past. We must be assertive and put our points across

Thanks, Ana! I think that is the key...not to feel intimidated by the environment. It does also help with your confidence
