An achievement isn't always a praise or good feedback. In my opinion an achievement is a job well done, ensuring our service is spot on and guest centric in order for the customers to enjoy their flawless holiday. So to answer the question, I would say one of my achievements since I joined is when a diabetic guest had a problem with his insulin pump which had broken and they couldn't find a replacement on the island of Crete. Therefore, they needed to source a replacement pump from Germany. After communicating with the guests, TUI fly's duty office in Germany and the flight crew, they hand delivered to me the next day a new insulin pump and I sent it over to the other side of the island of Crete ( I am based in Heraklion which is east and the guests were staying further than Chania which is in the west), with a taxi from our suppliers. Staying in contact with the guests, we ensured that the pump would arrive on time so the guest wouldn't have to take any emergency measures in case the device was late. Also, another achievement that we as the Heraklion airport team can be proud of, is with a TUI flight to the UK last summer 2021. A lot of guests had issues completing their passenger locator forms or retrieving their online COVID-19 test results. Therefore, they couldn't check in and they would miss their flight. To avoid the guests panicking or ruin their last part of their holiday, we informed the airline's duty office and with their cooperation we delayed the flight enough, helped all the guests complete their PLF's and get their test results, checked in with the handling agents and they all successfully boarded the aircraft and went back to the UK! Keeping calm, ensuring guests they would make it to their flight and being there for the guests, could be one of the greatest achievements someone can attain in our job role.
